Coaches Registration

Now that we are into the membership renewal period, all coaches need to complete “Coach Compliance” before coaching at U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned events. A very helpful document (click here) was compiled by staff at the PSA and USFS (Ann Miksch and Heidi Thibert) to help coaches avoid some of the pitfalls that can delay verification. Check it out!
One of the really important points that the above document makes: "Do not assume just because you started the background screen process, that you finished it. National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI) is the company that provides the check. The link to NCSI is provided on the confirmation page after a payment is made." Check your status every couple of days with the NCSI until your Background Screen is completed. Sometimes NCSI will ask for more info from you, and your screen will not progress until you provide it. Don't delay - start your screen as soon as possible.
